The Story

The first theme sketch in any project is the most important step in the entire development process, as this is where you start to mature an idea that existed as a dream. Even if the first ideas are unrealistic and may seem too futuristic, you have to visualize your thoughts. The sketch has to evolve into something that you can build. I have been lucky in my career as I have been able to translate the first sketch into an actual production car, including everything “they said” could not be done. Part of the reason is, I sketch something that is pushing the boundaries just enough, that it could be built with enough conviction, and with my conviction of, Never Give Up! I’m sharing these sketches with you, for you to get inspired and take part of the creative process, so together we can foster new talent and fuel people’s imagination, world-wide.

“Henrik’s Sketch-Book” collection embodies my life as an automotive designer stroke by stroke. Every single one of these cars was a dream that was conceptualized on paper and sketched, before they become a reality. Some of these sketches are prints of the original, and some of the sketches were created at a later date to illustrate the original thoughts behind them.
